Stage mechanism

  • The main boss is Symbol of Nightmare (humanoid)
  • There is other parts of the boss:
    • The Root of Nightmare (pyramid)
    • The End of Nightmare (left-arm)
    • The Beginning of Nightmare (right-arm)
  • At the end of each round, if our allies have 3 types of [Stats Up], [Pos Status] or [Shield]

    Blocks certain DMG for a certain duration.
    buffs, gain Moxie +1 and DMG Heal +20% for 2 rounds. If they have 5 or more buffs, also purify [Neg Status] debuffs from themselves.
  • Allies after taking 2 actions in 1 turn will gain ATK +30% for 3 rounds. Taking 3 actions in 1 turn will increase DMG by 30% for 3 rounds.
  • If any parts of the Symbol are destroyed by our allies, enter [Befouled]

    DMG Taken Reduction -50% and Critical DEF -30% (removed after losing all HP in the current phase).

  • If the Root is destroyed, deals DMG to the Symbol equal to its 30% Max HP
  • At the beginning of new HP bar, it will inflict debuff that increase DMG Taken by 10%.
  • It has a buff card that increases 10% Reality and Mental DEF for 2 rounds.
    • If any of its arms is present, attack our allies and inflict 1 [Spite] stack, then destroy both arms and resummon them.
    • If there’s no arm left, resummon it immediately.
  • When [Spite] reaches 6 stacks, it will turn into [Spite Entwined] which prevents allies from casting Buff/Debuff/Health/Counter incantations.
  • Each arm will move twice per turn,
    • One uses 1-target attack skill and another uses AoE attack skill.
    • Each attack will also inflict 1 [Spite] stack on 1 unit.
    • When being destroyed by our attacks, grants Moxie +1 to one of our allies with the lowest Moxie count.
  • The Root will grant 1 [Stability] stack every turn for 4 turns. At the start of the round, if this unit has 4 Eureka, consume all Eureka and cleanse all [Stats Down] from all allies. Its Ultimate will deal DMG to the unit with the highest ATK and inflict 2 [Spite] stacks.

Strategy and tips

  • Prioritize units with Follow-up Attack and Buff incantations.
  • Try to let units take multiple moves each turn to receive DMG buff
  • Use multiple Buff incantation to gain Moxie
  • Take down one of its arms to inflict [Befouled]
